Welcome to Analipsi.net, a basic introductory guide to the small
Cretan village of Analipsi, located on the north coast of the
island and approximately 5km from the holiday hotspot of Hersonissos.
This makes the area quick to reach by taxi, hire car or transfer
coach, being only a short journey from the main airport and around
20km from the centre of the island's capital, Heraklion. Gouves
is another popular destination close by and east of Hersonnisos
is the similarly large tourist town of Malia. Most recently the
area has received a lot of interest in the luxury Sensatori resort
hotel that is being built nearby on the shores of Lyttos beach.

Analipsi itself is a relative newcomer to popular tourism and
still has a small village feel to it. Hotels, cafes and tavernas
are relatively small in numbers and do not compromise the restful
pace of life that the visitor seeks here. Other hotels in the
